The Heat have signed Love to a $3.11 million contract

Time on February 21, the Heat officially announced, and Kevin Love completed the signing.

According to Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald, the Heat used the remainder of the two-year exception to sign Love to a deal worth about $3.11 million. This summer, the Heat can use early-bird rights to re-sign Love to a contract that starts at $3.7 million, about $600,000 more than the veteran’s base salary.

As a result, the Heat retains the flexibility to use the midseason exception to sign a multiyear deal through the end of the season, but won’t be able to use the two-year exception next season.

And for another veteran Cody – Zeller, the Heat will use the veteran base salary with him to complete the signing.
